Current and Recent Volunteer work
In 2018 Geoff joined the Social Research and Planning Council (SRPC) of United Way Perth-Huron to support their poverty reduction and employment program efforts. He still serves as the Chair of SRPC’s Income Security Sub-committee.
Geoff is a co-founder of the not-for profit Stratford-Perth Tree Trust, serves on the Board of a local climate change activist group (Climate Momentum) and is a co-founder of Pivot Green, which in 2023 (with the support of the Small Change Fund) sponsored the first national Canadian Youth Climate Action Award.( these all should be linked to websites)
Geoff is a founding member, past chair and still on the Board of Cycle Stratford. He has also been a member of Stratford’s Energy & Environment and Active Transportation Advisory committees. He is also a founder of a local Good Governance Group in Stratford.

Prepared funding business plan for Youth Ventures – a first of its kind paper recycling business employing disadvantaged youth. Served as first Board Chair of Youth Ventures Developments
Co-developer and manager of Toronto’s first “home weatherization“ energy service; principal in Toronto’s first “Conservation Store”
Past Chair of Friends of the Earth Canada
Past member of the Toronto Atmospheric Fund’s Grants and Special Project’s Committee
Former member of the federal Public Education and Outreach Climate Change Table
Former Board member of the Compost Council of Canada
